They are two ways to raise the sensitive issue of support for science and technology in Colombia.De agreement with this information, the advanced, so to speak, of science and technology is located at seven universities, public 4 (one national and three regional) and 3 private. It is significant to note, Additionally, the links that have these universities with the triad State or public sector, private sector and civil society. However, it is interesting to note that on the platform of Scimago, Colombia ranks, thanks to these 7 universities 57 in a list that is widely dominated by United States, England, Japan, China and Germany. Sure, the place 57 is not bad and lets you see that there are still good opportunities for exploitation and development. With official data for 2008, the areas of knowledge that are leading in the production of high-impact articles are, respectively: medicine, biology and agriculture, engineering, physics and astronomy, and biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology. Without a doubt, the bet by knowledge translates into better living conditions for the whole of society. Hence the importance of open and solid support from the private sector and part of the State toward science and technology, something which is still, in the current conditions of the country, more a promise than a fact accomplished. The truth is that the researchers are working motivated essentially by the seminal idea of Aristotle: knowledge produces pleasure. In this state of things, should highlight seven universities in the country are actively working to provide you with the pleasure of knowing decent conditions of work and life. That can be a good incentive for current and future generations.
