The city of Zadar is situated in the south of Croatia. Zadar is a small port city and a seaside resort on the Adriatic. 82 680 inhabitants live here. The majority of the population are Croats. Zadar is located on a narrow spit of land. It is separated from the mainland by a narrow moat. The city has a large port and consists of four districts.
Most of the old town is of Venetian style. There are many interesting buildings, such as the Lord Square, the Fountain Square and the Simeon place.
